About This Website
I have created this website to provide information about prospecting and metal detecting, two activities that I have been involved in for many years now. I got started prospecting in the early 70s and purchased my first metal detector, a White's Coinmaster 4 in 1972. I have been at it ever since prospecting, highbanking, suction dredging, and metal detecting for gold. I have owned many mining properties over the years, and I eventually acquired a large placer and hardrock property at Moore Creek, Alaska. I have lately expanded outside Alaska with trips to Nevada, California, and Australia. I do have interest in more than just gold, with copper, silver, platinum, and even meteorites on my list of things to look for. I like to look for anything that can be found with a metal detector, and so jewelry detecting, coin detecting, relic detecting, and more will find a place on this site.
I have posted information at many locations on the internet and want to collect it all together in a single location. I also want a place where I can present information unencumbered by the restrictions inherent in commercial websites. This is it.
