    If I was detecting in my driveway maybe I could keep the coil an inch above the ground and not bump into anything. Desert detecting in the real world with uneven ground, rocks, cactus and lots of brush to go under is a real challenge with this new coil. In my opinion, an effective coil cover is urgently needed and I will buy one immediately if it becomes available. In the meantime I will watch for any suggestions that might help. Thanks to everyone for the ideas. Dick Ward
