I have a ML GPX 4500 and want to buy a control box cover that has a battery pocket. So, I need a shorter power cord...any idea where to get one (and ensure it meets specs)?? And, any suggestions on the best headphones? ...Killer Bee Wasp?

Dean, Thanks Dean. I'm new to this and can say it's somewhat addictive - even though I haven't found much. I guess it's all in "the hunt". Plus, it's good exercise for a 60 year old. Whenever I recover from buying these detectors, I'm looking forward to a Nevada trip - A break from Montana. David

The shop I bought the GPX 4500 from promised I'd be happier with the GPX (compared to an ATX). So, I trusted their advice...SDC out of my price range...but heck...they ALL are. Thks

Well...I'll be happy to report...I just bought a 4500...I wish it was spring instead of fall. You know, detecting is a bad habit: now I want an SDC 2300...but I'll learn the 4500 and be happy...for now :-)

I'm new to detecting and just purchased a Makro Gold Racer. No gold yet...but I'm trying. Anyone have any experience with a Gold Racer? I'm thinking I should have spent the extra bucks and went with the Garrett ATX...
