  1. Exactly. That is why I got so detailed in the video with the exact weight, metal purity, and showing a picture of the ring so people can visually see the style of ring. Some rings seemed predictable in numbers while others left me thinking wow may have passed that up on this machine. I have to say I am not a big fan of the discrimination VDI of the Equinox series. It is not as predictable as my XP Deus or even one of my AT-PRO'S. Seems I will be digging more trash in the low numbers when beach and water hunting worried I could be passing up Gold.
  2. Thank you. I don't knotch anything out but this test showed me numbers of a few targets (small gold rings mainly) that were lower then I would have typically stopped at to dig. So looks like I will be digging alot more foil just incase the rare chance it might be gold.
  3. This is the Ultimate Minelab Equinox 600/800 VDI Numbers and Tones video covering Rings and other Jewelry. I cover Platinum, Gold, Silver, Tungsten, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum Rings. Pendants, Earrings, and even go over various different style Pull Tabs. A lot of time was put into this labor of love Test/Demonstration video and hope it helps out new Equinox users. Make sure to also check out my video covering Coins. GL & HH
  4. I just completed a very nice Test/Demonstration video on the Minelab Equinox 600 / 800 covering Coins, both Silver and clad. I did a lot of editing to make this video stand out from the average target test. Make sure to check out my other video covering Rings and Jewelry! Hope these videos help the new Equinox users to understand more of what their machine is telling them. GL & HH
  5. I live in the U.S. so I choose to support U.S. manufacturers and Sellers, that was the point of post. It is well built, I like the design of the back being easily accessile to both the headphone jack and coil jack as well as the charging pad. Someone was asking about glare, not sure if was regarding this product or the foreign one but I have not noticed the glare being any worse then without it on.
  6. As an added layer of protection I buy clearance Zagg InvisibleShield protectors made for large Tablet screens then can cut many protectors out of the one sheet. You can find these at Best Buy and other stores for nearly nothing and man the material is tough as steel. Need a very sharp razor knife and suggest a ruler to hold down the material while slowly cutting thru it. The Zagg material clings 150% better then the screen protectors that come with our NOX machines. If Zagg was smart they would put out an official protector for the NOX series but then 1 protector would likely cost you $20+ LOL
  7. I have a 600 and on several lists for an 800. First thing I am doing when I get ahold of the 800 is sell the WM08 module. I have zero use for it and that will cover the cost of buying a 6" coil, which I definitely will use. I had a pair of Grey Ghost custom modified with a waterproof Equinox connector and use my sons Beats Studio2 Bluetooth headphones occasionally. Yes the delay is noticeable but when I find a target I slow way down to pinpoint it. I may buy a pair of those $50 Bluetooth headphones ppl are talking about that have the apt-X Low technology...or just wait and use the ones that come with the 800.
  8. For me it was also about convenience and "I want it now" mentality. I seen a seller on YT selling what looks to be the adapter but for the price he is asking it was just a few dollars more to have Tony do it. It appears these adapters are not manufactured here in the States so there would be the time factor of ordering them and getting them shipped here and that is provided could track down the foreign manufacturer. Now if I could purchase them in Bulk for a few bucks each I would persue doing my own mods and possibly selling them myself.
  9. I just let people with the knowledge take care of it. Blessed with a very good job so happy to help those trying to make some money out.
  10. I am just a very happy customer and want him to know I am showing my appreciation by helping send people his way. I get nothing, nada, zip, zero! YouTube REQUIRES me to put that disclaimer in any videos that show products, that's the only reason that statement is even there.
  11. With the purchase of my new Minelab Equinox 600 (waiting for my 800 on backorder) I set out to find some needed but harder to find accessories...Headphones for the Water was my priority this time! In this YouTube video I cover a gentleman (Tony) who is the Only United States based modifier and seller of Waterproof headphone connectors for the Minelab Equinox 600 / 800 control box and show you what he modified for me. With little to no options out there for Waterproof headphones for the Minelab Equinox series metal detectors I was extremely excited to find Tony on a Forum. Long story short I sent him a pair of Grey Ghost headphones and he modified them with his custom Waterproof connection, so now I am ready to take my Equinox wading/submerge once the weather here in Michigan warms up just a bit The connector looks like it was professionally manufactured, just like Minelab themselves made these headphones. If you are searching for waterproof headphone options for your new Equinox then watch this video. I am in NO way Affiliated with the Seller of this product, I simply like to pass information along when I find products that will help others in this great hobby. Take Care and HH.
  12. With the purchase of my new Minelab Equinox 600 (waiting for my 800 on backorder) I set out to find some needed but harder to find accessories. I made this YouTube video of the Deanos cover, which as far as I can tell is the Only United States based manufacturer and seller of protective covers for the Minelab Equinox 600 / 800 control box. I love this cover, very nicely constructed, heavy duty, and fits very tightly on the control box to it is highly unlikely you will get dirt, sand, or any other debris up under the cover and risk scratching your nice new screen/faceplate. I am in NO way Affiliated with the Seller of this product, I simply like to pass information along when I find products that will help others in this great hobby. Take Care and HH.
