  1. I use a small drop sluice to run my cons, after i dredge. Has any one Made a Drop sluice for a 2" keens dredge? I have reg. riffiles in mine now, and was think i could run slower if i had a drop sluice in my dredge. I just have small gold here in Ohio anyway, and think i could do better with a drop sluice.
  2. OK, I can do that and make everyone think i got alot in one day. That is a good trick, but it is sooo nice like that. I hunt just North of Cinn. Ohio, lot of fine gold.
  3. Whoo, i wish i had a creek close to me with that much gold. I dredge in OHIO, and get about that much in a year. Don't know if i could handle that ice or not, I can't do like i used to. I soon will be 73 years old, broken back, metal plate in my neck. I still keep going. Good job. Dean
  4. You were right Geotech, Took it out side today and can see much better, My eyes are not as good as used to be. I am glad i didn't take the cover off. Thanks for all the help from everyone. This is like new, i got a good deal on it when i got it, now i need to learn how to use it. I think they are good detectors. Will the Eagel 11 Sl coils work on this? i think they are bouth 6.9 K. Hope so . dean
  5. If i don't pull it, how would i know if that is what it is. Will the screen go dem buy it self. Do i need 1.5v AAs ? i use 1.2 rechargables will that make a deffarnce?
  6. Thanks JCR, do i just pull the plastic off? There are no cuts or places on it. I will see if Centervill has one. Thanks
  7. I have a very niceXLT detector, it has been in a hard case for about 3years. No batterys where left in it when i put it away. Took it out the other day and it all works fine, but the face don' t light up very well, i can't hardly see it. it is yellow looking. It still has the face plastic on it, could that got yellow, and if i take it off, can i get one for it? Do you think that could be what it is ? Thanks Dean
  8. I like the SEF 6x8 coil, i think it will out do the Whites 6x10, or just as good in trash.
  9. Hi guys , a saw saw, works real well for a shaker, Take off the blade, and fix to a table and put in slow on. Makes a good shaker table too. Good luck, flintstone AKA Dean Stone.
  10. Valens Legacy I think the sluice you talking about is a Drop Sluice. I have a small one that i run my cons. in and it don't miss much. Only use a small amount of water. Once the drops get full of black sand, it will loose some gold, need to keep an eye on it so it fill up.
  11. I wanted the7" coil for the MXT, you gave it away. cry, cry cry.
  12. Hi Kingman, out of all those detectors, what is the best for you? What one do you like the most? I have 7 and still don't know what i like. Most of the time i reach for the MXT, i have most of the coils for it and know it the most. Dean
  13. Richard can you send me your email, I sent pic. of a S.E.F. coil but i think it went to Steve, not you. My email is ( gdean.stone@yahoo.com ) thanks Dean
  14. Hi Richard, If you don't use it, i might buy or do a trade with you for it. Let me know. Dean
  15. Good job John, try harder this year. HaHa, just have fun. Happy New Years. Dean
  16. Thanks HardPack, I have been to the Carolinas, and didn't do much better than here in Ohio. I want to come out West sometime, so might run into you out there. Dean
  17. If i had a place like that i would build me a tent and hunt all winter. I love to gold hunt, i get about that all summer. I hunt in OHIO, and all we have is small gold, but i love it. I think i am going to go out west this year, if i live and stay ok. I am 72 years old, and been with the same old woman for 52 years. She might not let me go, ha ha.
  18. I think i have one or two, that has TRX on it. and i have one or two that are plain. If you keep your pointer in your pouch it will get dirt in it.
  19. I think you should take out the batterys first, just incase you touch something you should not touch.
  20. With all those detectors, can you say one is better than the others? By the time i would use them i would forget what one was best. I have 7 detectors and still can't pick just one.
  21. Thanks Jeff and Steve, I was just trying to see if the Vanquish was a good detector for the money. It has done good for me, i haven't used it a lot but i think i am going to like it. Thanks Dean
  22. No one knows, maybe just a dumb , but was told they were about the same. I have never used Safari before, and just stared useing the Vanquish. It is doing ok for me, but always wanted a Minelab Safari, i know they are hard to find.
  23. Can anyone tell me how close these two detectors are to each other, someone said they Vanquish was just a down size to the Safari. Do they hunt about the same, dose one go deeper than the other? any help please, hard to find a Safari.
  24. OK, I though you were looking for 8" Black Max for a MXT, My bad.
