  1. Yes I think you are probably right flakmagnet.
  2. Hello Johnathan the GPZ 7000 has been out for a while now, is there any plans to do a DVD. I could see how a soft ware upgrade could potentially make it harder to give any advice on settings as upgrades come along. Or is the whole thing a big head ache.
  3. l will have to bury some bigger test targets down deeper and try General on them.l am not seeing much performance on current testing in General mode. But that may be my limited test targets l have buried.
  4. Ok l will try normal mode, running in manual,l have almost always used auto mode with the 14 inch and l ran the 14 inch in Normal,High Yield mode most of the time. But l find High Yield , Difficult gives me the best results with the 19 inch.I have not walked over any thing yet either on some old patches, but l am satisfied with the performance of the 19 inch coil and believe it will get the gold if it is there.
  5. The 19 inch does give off a louder, harder to pick signal on tree roots, than the 14 inch coil.l ran in manual tracking today and the GPZ did run ok in manual ground balance.l actually lost the signal on a test target today, it gound balanced out with the 19 inch coil.So l decided to run in manual ground balance because of this.
  6. Well done Gold Hound,l am happy with the 19 inch coil.As l am sure you are as well.
  7. 20 cent piece buried 10 cent piece and 5 cent piece. The 20 cent piece is the deep target, l have forgotten how deep, but difficult high yield smoothing on low was the best result for picking it up Deep setting and General setting do not give any respose at all.
  8. The 19 inch really gives a good signal on tree roots, not saying that was what your signal was Bada but just some thing l noticed.Best results l got for depth was High Yield Difficult mode,l could max the sensitivity to 20 and still run smoothly. l did lose sensitivity to smaller targets in this setting, but worked well on the medium to bigger targets.l am not into measurements, l have my test targets buried for 5 years and run my coils over targets to see how the signal is.Still early days for this coil,l see some good operators are not happy with coil, ,but l am, it is heavy though.
  9. Steve if a 20 inch coil comes out for the GPZ, you will have to go back to most of those spots all over again.
  10. Hello Steve, thanks for the information,l thought the ctx battery was a different voltage to the GPZ battery at 7.2 volts.Do you know if the wm 10 wireless module from ctx3030 works with the GPZ 7000 detector.
