Did you find that area we were going to look for?  Nice nuggets! Congrats!

That's some nice, course looking gold.

Quartz, iron all the right ingredients.

What state are you in if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks everyone for the congrats. I appreciate it.

I've been marking every find with the 7000 gps. Some patterns are starting to develop. Pulled out another 11 grams of smalls. But nothing outside the original 1st day patch area. I have a feeling as the ground dries, some deeper targets to be found. The ground is variable to saturable according to the paper Steve just posted. But just a hunch on the ground being drier theory to find deeper targets. Thinking that their might be some halo effect going on with the ground being half wet and dry. I turned down my sensitivity to 9 and was able to pick up more shallow targets with less ground noise.

Suggestion for patch, try Bogenes settings. Adjust sensitivity to full bore and turn down threshold to what you can handle, say 10 or bit less. Got some amazing results on a couple of such patches here, many deep subgrammers. Unconventional but productive but maybe not for that ground.
