Nevada Brian
25 minutes ago, gambler said: To anyone, do you think there will be any camp sites left by friday? for tent camping. Gambler, From what I remember from last year, the campground below the dam fills up quick, not sure about the others, but you may get lucky. Also, the local mining clubs reserve the group campground which is where the potluck is held Saturday night, but I don't know how they determine who stays there or occupancy limits. Below is a paragraph from the link: http://parks.nv.gov/parks/rye-patch-state-recreation-area/ Camping: The river campground below the dam has 22 units, a restroom with flush toilets and hot showers. The campground on the reservoir's west side has 25 units, a restroom with flush toilets and hot showers. There are also undeveloped campsites along the reservoir that can be reached by boat or primitive roads. Camping is allowed in these areas unless otherwise posted. A camping limit of 14 days in a 30-day period is enforced. Brian.
Sourdough Scott
Got word from the president. He said the group camp is for our members first. But if there is room left, anyone attending the event can stay there in the group camp. Im heading out Friday morning, but got a friend saving me a spot in his campsite. The lower campsites are better.

Sourdough Scott
Gambler, we are expecting 400-500 attendees. But most do drive in the morning of the event. There will be a campsite somewhere there for you. But it just might not be a prime one close to the bathrooms or have trees. So I wouldn't not worry about having a camp.
