Those that have tried them, which do you find does the best job for nuggets on a Gold Bug Pro, the Fisher 5"x10" DD or the Nel 5.5"x9.5" DD, or some other? Thanks for any input.

I have not used both but I hate to see questions go unanswered so will offer an opinion. I doubt the performance difference is enough to worry about. To me the big difference is an open spoke design versus closed design. The NEL coil is a couple ounces lighter but the Fisher coil less likely to hang up on stubble or other obstructions. I would consider the type of terrain you are hunting very carefully and think about which physical design would work best for you.

I've used both. Steve nailed the answer. Negligible difference in performance, the open design of the NEL is a pain in rocky and rough brush, spend the extra money on the Fisher coil if you don't already have it.

Thanks to all of you. I went ahead and got the closed Fisher 5"x10".
