Is Your Detector User Friendly ?

I'm a southpaw, too (hopefully those not from the US and not baseball fans can figure out the meaning of this from context, or failing that just Google it), but I haven't noticed detectors being particularly biased in this aspect.

What I like are:

1) lightweight AND balanced,

2) pushbuttons over knobs (this one definitely seems to be personal preference),

3) settings saved when turned off,

4) Keep It Simple, Stupid (KISS).

5) User control of ground balance (at least automatic and preferably manual adjust).

I don't know that there is yet today a detector that perfects all of the above, but there are several that are close.

My requirements in a detector

1  Light weight

2  Right or left handed

3  Good stability in all soil types

4  Effective with small or large coils  (small and large gold)

5  Good charge life

6  Ease and speed of charging

7  Manually adjustable ground balance

8  Fast and definite target response

9  Low EMI

10  Well balanced (ergonomic)

11  Wireless (power and audio)

12  Reasonably priced

13  Ability to respond to deep targets

14 Reliable
