I have a HEAVY, Ā ML and some lights, Deus, Ā .Ā Monster 1000 and a medium. Gold Bug2. Don't use the heavy much. Ā  I prefer the light wt. over the 10%

I would go the 10% more depth (who wouldn't) & I wouldn't be too concerned as to the weight (with in reason) if it gave me that 10% more depth.Ā I am very happy with the Zed & l dont have an issue with its weight. Cheers

Good luck out there

JW :smile:Ā

I would bet you aren'tĀ over 80 yrs old either.

For my bad ground hunting sites I don't need more depth, but a good discriminator on my TDI.

I will almost always opt for power over weight when it comes to nugget detectors. However, with VLF performance so hair splitting close these days it is things like weight and balanceĀ that can be the deciding factor between two detectors with otherwise similar performance.

In general I agree with others - I need better discrimination more than I need more depth. There are plenty of machines that punch deep but they are the very ones with the poorest discrimination features.
