Advice - Pulse Star 2 Pro Or GPX 5000

Recommended Posts

Welcome to the forum!

How large will the largest treasure be and how deep? How small are the smallest items you wish to find? How much trash/junk/garbage will be in the area you detect? How mineralized is the ground? These factors all help decide what detector might work best for you.

I guess most likely it will be in a box with 35x40 cm and the depth it depends on the soil some time when there are rocks it wil be from 2-3 m as you know it is very old civilizations and most excavation they found some tools in 1.8 m under ground.

The GPX 5000 may be too sensitive to small items for your purposes, most of which will be trash. If you want to avoid small surface trash, then something like the Pulse Star with large coil might be what you want. It will not detect very small items.

I just happen to have a PulseStar 2 with 3 coils I never used, might be interested in selling? Bought it slightly used for cache hunting and never pursued that endeavor. I am near Chicago.

Tom V. Have you sold the pulse star 2 as of yet? If you still have it and are willing to sell I may be  VERY interested depending on the price.

Please check your inbox on this website. Thank you.
