Told my Russian wife who was happy to see it.She said that place is behind Siberia near the Pacific Ocean? Said the biggest nugget ever found in Russia was 30 kg.

We both go detecting in Australia,s Golden Triangle.This 10.3 kilogram nugget would place it second after the 30 kg. Hand of Faith nugget found here in 1980.The old timers here called these " slugs" and nuggets were only the small ones.

Is Putin trying to make us envious because of the sanctions?

Different areas I think. The Devil's Ear Nugget came from the Ukhagan Mine in Irkustk Region (central Russia). This once the just found is said to come from the the Khaborovsk Territory which is right next to the Pacific Ocean. 22 pound nugget!

I bet there is a lot more of those out there in Russia. Lots of areas with very few people and hard conditions for mining.
