Yeah, that is kind of interesting, isn't it? The Minelab trademark was filed and accepted in the U.S. so apparently as long as the products are different enough you can have the same name. Nobody is likely to mix a car up with a metal detector. Hopefully the detector weighs less and costs less!

My wife has a Equinox made by Chevrolet. Now when Minelab comes out with this new detector by the same name I'll tell her it's not fair I want one too. I won't let her know the one I want is a detector. What she paid for it ( we I ) could buy the 7000 , new Equinox made by Minelab and have money left over.

Oh well that's life.
