Has anyone made a crevice sucker?

I was thinking of buying one until I saw the price locally, cheapest ones are $110 + $15 shipping, seems a bit much for what they are, looks like people are making some out of PVC pipe but I can't find any decent plans online to use to make one.

If anyone has some good plans they would be greatly appreciated.

No plans, but;

select the size pipe you want 2 inch or 2 and 1/2

a solid childrens rubber ball that fits

a threaded shaft an some washers and nuts

a handle for the shaft

a 1 inch nozzle and adaptor for the business end

If you want you can t-in a catch basin...like a dirty arm on plumbing...

you can get as crazy as you like...or

Just go buy a cheap grease gun with a handle or a large turkey baster...

Hi there, yes I have made more than 500, believe it or not.We sell and manufacture  recreational sluicing products in Scotland UK.Do you need help with plans ect.The only problem here in the USA is your pipe diameter.Its Imperial as apposed to metric.We use 68mm downpipe and a tennis ball fits in the tube perfectly once tightened on a threaded bar(M8 size).We sell them for about $40 a piece.Message me and I can guide you through it no worries

Thanks for the offer, I'd love to get access to your plans!   My brother in law lives in Edinburgh, I didn't realise there was much gold there, I should encourage him to start hunting!

Hi Simon, I have made heaps of them. I used to sell them. They are dead simple. Here is the basic concept.

GOLD sucker

I just used 40mm PVC pipe with a retention chamber on the end that has half inch copper pipe going up inside it.

Also made a 50mm longer version. Plus various crevice scraper tools, sniffer bottle
