Thanks guys for the comments & kind words.

Lunk: Thanks mate. Yes they certainly were hard won. The first one I almost gave up on several times. I would of course gone back to it at a later time better equipped. Cheers.

Brogansown: Yes I always enjoy the journey & getting amongst the old timers workings. You really have to appreciate & admire the hard labor they put in to them. All pick, shovel & hand work. Any gold is but a bonus.

Thanks Gravelwasher. It is a pleasure to share.

Cheers beatup.

I ended up going back with the Gold Monster......& just the Gold monster, to check on that signal from the Zed that vanished on me. Also, as there was heaps of bedrock I wanted to give the GM a run over it. So straight back to where I "lost" that signal with the Zed. A small flat flaky bit of gold it was.

All .03 of a gram of it.

Here are a few more pics of these old workings.

Another tail race cut into the solid schist.

Despite spending a few hours combing the bed rock with the GM that was the only bit of gold I got, & I have to put that down to the Zed. Oh....but I didn't walk away with nothing else.

I HATE those shot gun pellets, but you have to dig them. Cheers

Good luck out there
