Actually, I consider that a bug and hope they release a firmware update to fix it as soon as possible.  

 

BTW on the solar panel/battery pack:  How long does it take to recharge the pack from 0% from solar power alone?  Those solar cells look pretty small and don't appear to be contiguous.  Thanks.

On the solar panel, forget my last question.  The more pertinent question is perhaps how much the solar cell can at least partially offset the "drain" from trickle charging the EQX while detecting on a sunny day.  Hmm.

The solar is not much, I think like 300mA or around that range. But a full charge on the battery pack charges detector and phone.
