How Do You Charge Your Equinox?

Recommended Posts

I’m using a 20w Anker charger. It has 2 ports. Not available any more but it has been replaced with a 24w for $11: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072HHW3GK/ref=psdc_12557637011_t1_B00LFL2JB6?th=1

i also have one of the Anker cigarette adapters that gives 3amp per port but I have not had a need/chance to test the EQX with it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G5B069C/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I don’t see any reason it would not work, we use It to charge an iPad Pro and a MacBook Pro. It’s a little pricey ($30) but it’s built like a tank, has USBc and steady, clean power. They do have less expensive models without USBc.

Wow 20 Amps! That must make your recharge time about 10 minutes.

Nope. Still throttled by what the device will pull. Not sure for EQX, but iPhone is around 2.7amps max if I remember correctly. The extra amperage just means it will charge at max speed of the devices connected.

I use an iPad Charger at home, but I picked up a RAVPower 10050 mAa Waterproof (when lid is closed) Shock Proof, Dust Proof portable charger just in case I forget to charge and end up with a dead Equinox in the field..  It has two USB ports so you can charge the Equinox and it’s headphones at the same time. It’s fairly small and light at 7.4 oz .. It measures in at 2.8”.  4.61” x .91”.. Pretty compact compared to some of the longer units I researched.. I had an AWP cell phone case laying around that I bought some time ago that works perfect for it. I took off the metal belt clip and use the belt loop to slide over the arm rest.. Test swings at home seem to feel like the EQ has better balance.. The charger has great reviews on Amazon.  I can’t remember  where I bought the case.  It was in the tool belt section of either Lowe’s, Depot or Walmart..

I bought a 24,000mah external power pack that I put in my Deus case. It has 4 ports so it charges all the different devices the detector and headphones at same time while in the case.

When I'm done hunting for the day I drop everything in the case and plug it all into it. It charges everything 4 or 5 times before I need to pull it out and charge it
