Sdc2300 Battery Light

Agree with Steve I rarely checked it either.

What batteries are you using? Where is the meter - fully flat, half? Is the SDC operating normally otherwise? The manual states that the NIMH rechargeables don't indicate full charge. I believe this is due to voltage difference between the rechargeables (1.2v ea) & alkalines (1.5v ea) but it's not a reflection of overall capacity or runtime.

As soon I put battery's in it indicates totally flat. I think I found the reason though, I had 2 sets of shop brought battery's and both only lasted 10 mins. I brought a expensive brand out worked perfect. I'm just going to have to guess both sets were faulty and stick with the rechargeables or the energizers that's in it now. Cheers for your replys
