Looking for a true mono coil for my TDI.  I have the Super Pulse 350 that I could trade in too.  Like to have either a 12 or 7 1/2" mono coil if possible.

If you can find one, Mark, from the testing I've seen, the one you want is the NF Sadie 8 x6. I bought a used one, and really like it. very solid, very light, very sensitive. In my testing, it surpassed both the MJ 5 x 9, and the factory 7 1/2DF. Here's a test on 1 grain gold ingot, and I/2 gram gold coin:

I cannot recall the last time i used the stock 12'' DF coil on my TDI,the main coil that i use these days is the Coil 14x9 Mono coil,as loght as a feather as its foam filled,of course totally useless if you are surf detecting as the coil floats, but i can swing this combination all day long.Occasionally i use the 7.5'' DF coil but if i want supreme depth then i use a Commander 15x12 coil,Detech 18'' mono or the 20'' Jimmy Sierra mono.

No,its a coil made by Coiltek but original made for Minelab GPX/GP detectors but all coils for the Minelab PI machines will work without any modifications straight out the box on the TDI range of detector but they wont work the other way around ie TDI on Minelab, its a great advantage as it offer a tremendous coil selection for the TDI Pro and TDI variations.

The tests on various coils, I posted, were not done by me. A prospector from Australia posted them on a forum, and I saved the tests for my own use. I reposted them here. I wish I had his name, but I don't. He did a great job on these tests and deserves any credit.

The tests I posted were from a guy that goes by <karelian65> on one Australian prospecting forum. You can follow the thread at this link. Quite a bit of info on prospecting with the TDI series.

I only use the 12" DF coil at the beach.  It's just to heavy for me and that is the reason I'd like to have the 12" in a mono coil, which should be quite a bit lighter, for the beach.  I guess as a last resort I can use the Super Scan 350 which is a lot lighter than the stock 12" coil.

I need to replace my current pinpointer (I think it's a Bounty Hunter), but I don't want to use a 9V battery with my new pinpointer. I will probably buy a Minelab Pro-Find, Fisher F-Pulse, Whites TRX or the Garrett Pro-Pointer AT (aka: the Garrett Carrot). But if I buy one that uses a 9V battery, it's staying in the package until I have a functional method or operating it without a 9V battery. Because using the Minelab or Garrett Carrot is my preference, I will plan on examining the feasibility of running either with AAA batteries (lithium, NiMH LSD and alkaline).

Therefore, I need a pinpointer to work on when trying to size everything, but I don't want to work on a fully functional one, in case I break it during development. So I'm looking for anyone who might have any of the following pinpointers:

      Minelabs Pro-Find 35 (primarily)
      Garrett Carrot Pro-Pointer (maybe)

I'm willing to pay $5 per propointer + your actual cost of shipping. I can pay via Paypal and will add $1 to cover the fee. If you feel a higher price is warranted, let me know why and I may be willing to give you more. For example, if you have a Garrett Pro-Pointer and the only thing wrong with it is a broken switch, I'd be willing to pay more than $5 for it.

Oh, and I'm only looking for sellers in the USA (to save on shipping costs on my end, that's all).

      Thanks for looking!
