Bluetooth For 600

Recommended Posts

Hi looking at buying some Bluetooth ear buds, I hate the large cans. I have read the 600 still has Bluetooth. And to get good lag earphones. Iwas reading about Aptx. Am I going down the right track. Thanks

You actually need to get aptx-ll for the fastest transmission.   There is a good thread in this forum below with lots of different models folks have had success with.

I use and love the sennheiser cx6.0 bt buds.  They are low latency and sound great.

You can find a list of options at aptx.com.  They have  a list of buds and headphones that use their tech.

Where are you? I'm assuming Australia,  but let me know if that's wrong.

I have these https://www.amazon.com/SoundPEATS-Bluetooth-Headphones-Magnetic-Earphones/dp/B07KLWS43V and like them lots, but I don't see them on your Amazon.

I do see these https://www.amazon.com.au/Avantree-Bluetooth-Wireless-Headphones-Cancelling/dp/B07P961J94 kinda pricy in Australia,  only $40 here.

But yes, as long as they are aptx low latency (the ones you show are) you should be good.

I agree with Lacky's recommendations, those have been confirmed to work with Equinox and will pair up in APTX low latency mode vice just APTX which is worse for lag (regular AAC or SBC bluetooth is unusable).  I have been burned by other "off" brands that claim low latency but do not connect to Equinox in that manner.  There are A LOT more full size headphones that support APTX low latency than ear buds.  The Sound Peats have been verified to work and are affordable.

No, unfortunately. Those are only aptx, not aptx low latency.  So they have about 120 millisecond delay, aptx low latency  has 40ms delay. I looked hard at those before because they look just like mine but are an earlier model. I don't know if you can buy from the US without it costing a fortune but if you can the first link I posted are the Soundpeats with aptx ll. I'm guessing they all come from China so there might be someone selling them closer to you.

You could also just try them. They would be great for other things if the delay was too much for detecting. Some people have said the delay wasn't that noticeable with aptx. I haven't tried it so have more idea myself. Up till buying the equinox I always just used cheap wired earbuds for everything. I have an older detector that isn't wireless and I really like not having the headphones wire to deal with though.

I went to Soundpeats website and they show an option for shipping to Australia for $10, so total price of $39.99 US, so 57.15 Australian for the ones we know work.
