It has already made its "quiet" channel selection at that point, so the double press is just a quirk of the user interface timing and has no affect on actual operation.

Problem maybe not solved at least for Deep1.  Apparently OP is still having problems with button presses and sent a third machine back for repair.  Strange issue, if it is indeed different than the expected behavior I demonstrated .
