I Want An 8" & 9" Concentric Coils Like This For The Simplex

That Tesoro 8" concentric coil is submersible. I take it out in the water all the time. It is so thin it sweep thru the water so easy. Nothing wrong with that Nokta 7" concentric coil which I will probably be using.. I just like that thin Tesoro coil in the water.

I do not believe (please correct me if I am wrong) Nokta has confirmed that legacy Nok/Mak coils designed for the Kruzer/Anfibio series like the 7" concentric referenced here will be compatible with the Simplex.  A recent Dilek post indicated that Nokta is releasing some dedicated Simplex compatible accessory coils including a few smaller than the stock Simplex coil and one additional larger coil, but beyond that details (e,g. concentric vs. DD and explicit sizing) are lacking as they are still under development.  I would expect a smaller concentric would likely be offered, based on Nokta's track record of previous releases.  Making the Simplex compatible with the legacy coil line would be ideal.  But if that was the case, I would have thought Nokta would have announced that as a selling point and also why then, would Nokta be developing additional Simplex coils as I would have thought the legacy line covered most of the bases?

I was told by Nokta that they are not compatible, too bad as I have both the 7 and 9in concentric, the 9in stays on my Anfibio most of the time.

Dilek said in a post some where a while ago that the coils were not interchangeable with the Kruzer and Anfibio.   I would have considered picking up a Simplex to keep in the van if the coils I have for my Kruzer were compatible but unfortunately they are not.  Definitely not investing in another platform for a backup machine.

It was never implied other coils would work on Simplex. The main cost of making a new coil is machining the mold. Converting existing coils to work on new models is the normal, expected route, as has occurred already with several Nokta/Makro models.

No word on Acc coils yet as far as I can find.  Water hunting season starts in May up here in NW Michigan so they still have time to sell me a Simplex and a 9" concentric.

On another note 'tecting is gonna have some competition this year as I'm looking at getting a dirt bike this spring to bomb around on in the woods before I get to old to enjoy it.

Not seeing this unit taking off like gangbusters here (based on forum buzz alone), which would need to happen for Nokta to make it worth their while to develop a concentric accessory coil for it.  We'll see if it picks up steam after the holidays and as people are able to get out as the weather warms up.  Hope Nokta can refute this observation.

Well, I have to admit I was totally wrong about accessory coils for the Simplex+. Every other new model from this company was swamped with accessory coils in short order, and I assumed it would be the same with Simplex. Nothing from Nokta/Makro and no aftermarket coils either after half a year. The difference now is so striking it makes me wonder what is up. Or have I missed something?

I have a Simplex+ and am thinking seriously of thinking selling the Simplex and buying the Vanquish 440.

I have nothing really negative to say about the Simplex. I have the Nox 800 and think that the TID on the Vanquish will be similar to the Nox 800 for the same targets? Am I right?

With the Simplex and the Nox 800 I have two sets of numbers to remember. Don't need that.

Plus I like the tones on the 800 better than the Simplex. How do the tones on the V 440 compare to the 800?

Plus I like the Multi-frequency aspect of the Vanquish.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Took simplex underwater for first time and after three seconds or so a pop and screen had lines go through it and speaker loud screech and then nothing and will not cut on. This was sent to me by Dilek herself to try out and test. I have contacted her and let her know. No replacement or anything. So I guess since I was testing it and I enjoyed it on land use  and found a few civil war buttons but as soon as I submerged it and the machine failed so I failed as a tester? Idk tell me. My Equinox never did this.

Hi all...new to forum as I am also new to metal detecting. Just received my Simplex, going over the settings and I noticed something that I hope other owners can help me with. In the manual it says there are 5 Frequency Shift settings, F1 thru F5. In every YouTube video I've watched, that shows the settings of the Simplex, I've seen these 5 "F" settings. But on mine I have just 3 (F1, F2 & F3). Does anyone know why mine is just showing 3? Yes I've updated the firmware and running v2.68. Note: it was also showing just 3 Frequency Shift setting options before I updated the firmware from v2.67.

The manual that came with my Simplex shows I should have 5 Frequency Shifts on my Simplex but the detector shows only 3 .
I’d like to hear from anyone on what your detector has .
This has been talked about already but if just think about making a change you’re too late. Sometimes you have to push a button just right but again you could be too late because of that .
I don’t know how others feel but after about the third time of having to deal with this I’m ready to set it aside. It would help if you didn’t have to cycle from the start point again. If it stayed locked at the last point until you wanted to move would be great.
I’ll say Thanks ahead for your response.
