Finally Got Back Out With The GPZ - Exploring Some Gold Placers

Hello Guys,

     Finally made it out to an area that was placered pretty heavily.  We hunted all day, 4 of us with Minelab detectors.  Only 2 nuggets were found, but hundreds of targets were recovered.  Hope you enjoy the video.  We would love for you to Subscribe to our Channel, Like and Share.  Thanks!

Two nuggets found by myself, 0.9 Grams and 0.5 Grams, total 1.4 Grams using the Minelab GPZ 7000 Metal Detector with stock 14x13 Searchcoil.  There were also a GPX 5000, SDC 2300 and a Gold Monster also detecting around the same ground.

Good to hear your voice again Rob.  Certainly gold in that area as the amount of workings, the numerous targets and of course the tortoise there to protect the gold.  Nice video.

Have come across a few of those too over the years but sadly they are in not so good a nick. My favorite knife finding story doesn't involve a detector.  I was hunting a really isolated spot that requires boating across a lake and climbing lots. I found a buck 110 folding knife, older but in great shape, laying in a saddle all the deer move through. Two years later I found another much newer Buck 110 laying in the same spot. I assume the same hunter got a deer in that spot twice and forgot his knife both times 🙂
