It seems more we want to ID a weaker target than really depth.   We know there are targets currently there within our depth range that a good pair of phones pulls out..... and they arent always deep.   Ive found and had targets found behind me that we just didnt recognize as a target..... but someone else was going slow enough to catch it.   Detectors have really changed in the respect that it used to take a long time to get the best out of a machine.... then the next generation caught up out of the box.... ugh.
