MAP price for the GMX Sport and above-mentioned accessories is $827.95. As usual, my customers also receive my MAP-approved accessory pack. When filming the introduction, we also filmed some really detailed comparisons which will appear in an upcoming Spud Diggers video.

Just to confirm Jim, the GMX Sport is coming with two small coils, the 6” round concentric and 4” x 6” DD elliptical?

Edit: OK, that is also what you report in the video so that confirms it. Thanks for posting Jim!

This is exactly what White's needed to do to make this a detector that stands out!  Now I see it as a very interesting detector more so than the 24k.

The coils are perfect, waterproof is good.  A great creek machine.  White's now have a detector that really has my interest but NO MORE DETECTORS FOR ME!  🙂

I tell my wife that golfers are allowed 14 clubs to play a round of golf and metal detecting is no different.....................I’m still only allowed 4 “clubs” 😩

Something else that appeals to me about this detector is the coil cable clip.  This is something I would have expected to be a mainstream product by the 1970's yet we are still using velcro straps to hold our coil cables, I've never seen anything like the little clip on this Whites, is it new or is it a Whites thing? I've never had a Whites. I hope they sell them separately.  Gold Monster users desperately need it that's for sure and the Gold Monster doesn't even come with a velcro strap.   I was out the other day with the NZ Minelab dealer and he'd sold a guy with us a GM1000, brand new first time using it and he had no strap, the coil wire was flapping in the wind setting off his detector all over the place.  Lucky I had a spare.

Simon, those cable connectors are wonderful, and they've been standard features on White's detectors for many years now. Also, White's dealers have just received the notification email about pre-ordering. It is believed that the shipping date will be the 27th. Suggestion: sell off several of your inferior detectors and upgrade to White's!

This guy has been selling them for years for about $2 a clip....

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Metal-Detector-Coil-Cable-Clips-for-Minelab-and-Whites-One-Set-of-3-Clips-/123837125144

But Whites has them for 50 cents a clip....

https://www.whiteselectronics.com/product/pair-of-velcro-cable-retainers/

Lots of people selling them for more than White’s and they all look identical, so I tend to think people get them from White’s and just resell at higher prices. Seems like I first saw them on my MX Sport. Don’t know for sure about all that though.

I have used them and how well they work tends to depend on the rod diameter. If the rod is too small they tend to rotate, and if too large they pop off when the cable gets tugged. Overall I like them but there is room for improvement, like different sizes perhaps or a version made out of “softer, grippier” material.

We now have four coils for the White's Goldmaster 24K and GMX Sport. The two models have coils with different labels, but they are all compatible between the two models. White's GMT and MX Sport coils ARE NOT compatible with the GMT 24K or GMX Sport.
      There are:
      8" x 14" DD
      6" x 10" DD
6" (actually closer to 6.5") round concentric
      4" x 6" DD
This is not perfect but it gives you a pretty good look at the relative size of these coils. Click for larger version.

White’s new 8″ x 14″ DD Coil for the Goldmaster 24K and GMX Sport is now showing up at some dealers for $249.95 (internet price $229.95), part number 624-0614. Scuff cover /skip plate sold separately, part 501-4101, $9.95. Great for ground coverage, but for those with a GMX Sport do note this coil will float like a cork.

The Goldmaster 24K and GMX Sport now have a decent coil selection going. In addition to the coil above, we have:
      6" x 10" DD coil (stock on 24k)
6" round concentric (stock on GMX)
      4" x 6" DD coil
Here is my Goldmaster 24K with a prototype (no label) 8" x 14" coil....

I recently purchased the Goldmaster 24k. In preparation for my first outing I made a test bed of different materials in my back yard. I also printed of the Conductive Order of Metals which was set up based on the Whites Spectrum XLT.
So my test bed consisted of a nail, pulltab, penny, nickle, dime, quarter, gold ring. After setting up my detector based on Whites quick start guide I did my testing. Here are the visual target id results. I wanted to compare them to the Conductive Order of Metals
      GMT 24k reading.                        nail 39   pulltab 91  penny 95  nickle 89  dime 97. quarter 98  gold wedding ring 94
Conductive Order of Metals       nail 0     pulltab 35  penny 56   nickle 28  dime 70  quarter 82  gold wedding ring 40
As you can not even close. So am I wrong in thinking the GMT 24k should follow the Conductive Order of Metals listing? Is there some other listing I should be looking at or is there no corelation at all? Thanks for any help.

White's have lost the plot, first they up the price of the 24k making it far less competitive with other options which to me made it no longer a viable option when it wasn't a good seller in the first place. They then they come out with a waterproof version in the form of a rehash.  Why not leave the price of the 24k where it was and make the waterproof option the new 24k price point?
Perhaps they should have just made the 24k waterproof in the first place, it's the way detectors are heading anyway.  I'm new to detecting and I've already lost patience with all this rehash rubbish, I feel sorry for you folks that have been in the game for a long time, at least they went beyond a paint job I guess If I was a 24k buyer I'd be angry now.
