Steve's Two-piece Carbon-fiber Lower Shafts For Garrett AT And Ace-series (both Black And Colored Options) Now Available!

Recommended Posts

Hi all!

Just a quick note to say that I have a full supply of carbon-fiber tubes -- in several different colors -- in stock, and ready for building Garrett AT- and ACE-series shafts.  If you have interest in a new shaft, for your AT- or ACE-series machine (and soon, the APEX model), I'd be happy to build one, to your liking.

Thanks!

Steve

Hi all!

Premium-quality, carbon-fiber two-piece lower shafts are now available for Garrett's AT- and ACE-series detectors (as well as the GTI and GTAx), from Steve's Detector Rods.  The lower rod section is fully telescopic within the middle shaft, via one of my heavy-duty, clamp-type cam locks.  Similar to my Equinox shafts, the adjustment holes found on Garrett's stock "middle" shaft section (and the spring button pin on the lower rod) have been eliminated, which results in quick, easy insertion and adjustment of the lower rod, as well as unlimited options for adjustment length (as opposed to lengths being restricted by fixed button-hole locations).  The shafts also offer weight reduction -- with these being 20% lighter than the stock shaft (5 oz. vs. 6.1 oz.).  While these shafts have not uploaded to the website yet, special introductory pricing is as follows:

$70 shipped -- black two-piece carbon-fiber lower shaft

$80 shipped -- colored two-piece carbon-fiber lower shaft

The initial, trail batch of these shafts is now sold out (as of 2-4-20), but a large parts order has been placed, for a much larger production run.  If interested, please contact me (either via PM here on the forum, or via email at steve@stevesdetectorrods.com), as I'm currently compiling a wait list.

THANKS!

Steve

I have the one pictured. Best rod ever. Will need another when the new Apex arrives. Hope it's a match.

George -- THANKS for the kind words, and yes, I do believe the shafts will be compatible with the Apex.

Thank you sir!

You have a setup for the SeaHunter? I mount the control box below just before the arm cuff.

kac --

I just saw your message; I'm sorry to say that no, I don't have a shaft design for the SeaHunter.  I've had a couple of folks ask about this recently, but it's not a machine that I'm currently producing a shaft for.  S-shafts are much more difficult to produce, as an s-bend carbon-fiber tube requires a custom mold, and the cost of such a mold is quite high, from the carbon-fiber tube companies I work with.  So, it's a challenge, from a financial perspective...

My apologies,

Steve

Hi all!

Just wanted to refresh my post, and "bump" it back up; I have plenty of AT/Ace two-piece shafts in stock, in a variety of colors.  Send me a PM or email, if you are interested in a purchase.

(Equinox complete shafts, and CTX 3030 lower rods are also in stock in a variety of colors, as are tubes to custom-build Excal or Sovereign shafts, and I am also now building carbon-fiber sand-scoop handles for several brands of sand scoops!)

THANKS!

Steve

Hi all!

I just wanted to say that I have plenty of Garrett AT/Ace/Apex shafts in stock, and ready to ship; I also have a couple of new colors available in limited supply -- a yellow/gold color (that was selected due to the new Apex's color scheme), and pink ones, as I've received several requests from a few detectorists of the "fairer sex," LOL!

If you need a two-piece lower shaft for your Garrett unit, I would be glad to set you up!

(Oh, and just a peek "behind the curtain," I'm in the process of working up a prototype UPPER shaft (S-shaft) for the Garrett units, so that I could offer a complete Garrett shaft, and even a counterweight with it, for anyone that might be interested...stay tuned!)

Thanks!

Steve

So you are waiting patiently for your new GPX6000 machine to be released into your sweaty little hands.  $6000 for this amazing little piece of technology and you're just going to let it lay around in the dirt?  No!  Of course not!  You're going to pre-order one of Doc's Nugget Stalker® Brand covers.  $129.95.  4 pieces counting the removable shade cover.  The entire cover package only weighs 8.5 ounces.

Just like the GPX6000 these covers will be in short supply initially, so don't delay, be the first to get in line. (I will probably bring in 200 by air to get the ball rolling but the bulk of the thousands I have being made will have to come by boat, and that is going to be a long time consuming process because of the boats being so backed up.)  I just read that Los Angeles usually processes 10 freight boats a day and has 2 anchored off shore waiting their turn.  Now they are processing 15 a day and have 35 waiting off shore.

I have several Premiere Nugget Stalker® brand dealers, in alphabetical order:  Bill Southern from Nugget Shooter.com in Morristown, AZ.  Chris Gholson from Arizona Outback, Gerry McMullen from Gerry's Detector Sales in Boise, and Rob Allison from Rob's Detector Sales in Surprise Arizona Nuggethunting.com  Call one of these dealers today and get your pre-order in.

By the way, we have our Nugget Stalker® picks back in stock.  the above Nugget Stalker® dealers have those IN STOCK right now.  These fantastic picks are premium made forged hardened steel heads, ash handles, 24 inches overall, 12 inch long by approx 6 inch wide blade.  Made in the U.S.A. Includes super magnet screwed to the head.  $99.95

      Thank you,

      Doc

Gerry's Detectors of Boise, Idaho is one of the longest lasting and well known Gold Detector dealers of Minelab in the US.  Since I have used every PI Minelab with Success since the SD-2100, I know their reputation and I know our 3 day Field Training is the best in the industry.  So knowing that many of my successful customers on this fine Detector Prospector Forum are going to be getting on board with the new GPX-6000, I placed an extremely large order has a large order.  If you are out of of the state of Idaho and purchase direct from me, I do not charge sales tax.  I'm expecting first shipment anytime, so reserve yours now.

Picture is some of the gold I found on a week when I was taking groups to Ganes Creek, AK.  Our good buddy Steve, told me I was good enough to get there and make some money, which I did.
