Wow that thing is nice.

I like imagining that each little speck of gold on those specimen nuggets might have eventually found its way to someone's pan or drywasher. We're so lucky as detectorists that sometimes we really hit the motherlode with these nuggets.

To me, that's a great blend of quartz and gold.  I tend to like the look of the specimens that have gold all shot through them and show a little evidence of weathering with the gold smoothed and polished on the outside.  That one is a real lunker too!
