Perfect Discrimination And Depth In Any Soil

Kac,

Here's an extension cable for Tejon

Seems unlikely that they would use a custom connector....that sounds like an expensive option to pursue for no good reason.  Also, Cors makes aftermarket coils so where are they getting their parts?

Vintage US connector companies usually have the name molded into the plug somewhere.

Some old radio mics used a 4 pin Switchcraft slimline connector like that, used to be called a 2504M. Maybe the old style has the features you need. Here's a pic of an old style 2504....has a flat side whereas the current 4 pin slimline does not.

Still the extension cable is not a bad deal, it's guaranteed to work...and you get the wire with it!

To me, finding the plug wouldn't be the hardest part of making a good coil!  Sounds like a fun challenge, and I have built a lot of electronic gear, but i'm happy these days if I can simply go out and buy what I want!🏧🌈

Extension cable is a good idea. I contacted Switchcraft who made the connectors for Tesoro and they confirmed ones used on the delta coils is a custom connector for Tesoro and no longer available. Had ambitions of building myself a waterproof lobo.

Some silver finds... soil was very salty (farmers put minerals) after rain, GB done but there was little noise from the ground on 18 kHz. Still many finds no problem. There was ORX and Deus users on field with less finds in that conditions.

Very heavy soil (salty and black), any other digital md shows ferrous on that deep target. Something like my previous post, live digging.

I prefer my analog in bad ground over my digital machines. just much quieter to run.

Thats a decent YT video,as we are allowed back out again for the most part in the UK will be detecting both saturday and sunday so will probably take my Deus and the Nexus SE with the dual 9'' coil on,its a very unusual analogue detector but must admit it does work exceptionally well once you have mastered it,its phenomenally deep and still pretty good on smaller targets as well.

The other Nexus i have and use is the latest analogue Nexus MP that is more complicated setting it up and once again does take time, but i have had mine possibly 4 years and have finally mastered it,most folks give up after a short time duration and sell these machines at a loss, but once the penny finally drops they are 'ultra deep' possibly hitting GPX depth territory and with the large 30'' and even 40'' coils on could possibly go even deeper and of course it has the full discrimination which the GPX is more rudimentary.Of course this is just my personal opinion.

Once again well done on your video and look forward to seeing some more.

Is that 9" dual coil has 8 kHz on Nexus SE? If it possible shot some video. The thing is that form of (   )(   ) coil runs better in heavy soil on 18 kHz. Low frequency works better on other MD, after testing i'll show you more.

Cannot recall off the top of my head what the stock dual 9'' coil is but almost certain its something like 6.8khz,its because of this low freq its ability to go deeper on say pastures site, they also did dual 6'' coils as well for this machine and this is the one that i have always wanted but never found one,i think Georgie mentioned that the mk11 dual coil would work but would need the coil plug changed over as one is a push fit and the mk11 is a screw fit.

All my coils for the MP model are low freq DD coils the only one that is a HF coil is my 11.5'' Concentric coil which runs @24khz,that coil is ultra lightweight and thinner than some mobile phones.Mainly use the SE with the large coil for say pasture and relic/hoard hunting and the MP with the 8x6'' DD coil for normal ploughed and rolled, its a small coil but does goes deep for its size, the main reason being that you dont as such get problems that you normally get with large coils from the ground matrix.......i rarely if ever use my larger coils on the MP as i dont personally like them.

They are aimed or seen as more of a specialist detector brand rather than say the everyday use detector,i use it mainly for waht it was designed for pure raw depth and that is the only time i use them really on deep pasture.

First test's of MD (6,7 kHz) with better discrim on big iron with mono coil, for quiеt work on super trashy areas. 1st video small cooper coin and gold ring 1 gram near solid iron. 2-3rd. video medium size bronze coin and large round iron with hole.
