EMI is more effected by sensitivity and threshold.   Ive not noticed GB having much affect.......its affect seems to be more on surface mineral noise.   The same with SB.

Yes Black sand ON will help w EMI, however next time your having trouble w EMI besides lowering the sensitivity, lower the threshold to -9. Also, if your working in a lot of iron especially the old decomposing kind, lower your disc down to -27 to -30. You’ll be surprised at how easily it is to differentiate.

Anybody else have any luck using the MDT. At parks?     It’s a deep machine.  
 

I haven’t had too much luck at parks with the MDT, the CTX did a very good job.

Hey Denny glad to see you posting again. Just wondering, by chance did you compare signals with both machines during your hunt. Be interesting to see the results.

I wish for park hunting that the MDT had more tones. I’m used to hunting by ear and with the MDT there is not a lot to go by unless you refer to the screen a lot. For me the choices by ear are “dig all high tones” or “dig all mid-tones” or “dig all non-ferrous.”
