I Have A Concern Re. Equinox Coils

Was just getting ready to order the equinox and noticed that apparently minelab only makes double d coils for it.

Will a double d coil work ok in non-mineralized soil??

Yes, fine and dandy! Highly mineralized soils are where the problems occur!

But for now, (and probably ever🤬) Equinox is limited to those three coils!😞

That's the short version!

Steve, Chase, Phrunt(Simon), and others will give you the tech verson! And alternative detectors, based on a little more input from you! Like hunting locations, type of targets expected, etc... Keep that itchy trigger finger in "check" for a little longer, if you can!👍👍

Yes, DD coils work better over a wider range of conditions than concentric coils, which is why nearly all top end detectors come with DD coils. Concentrics have advantages like better bottle cap handling and good performance on milder ground. They are cheaper to make so seen more often on inexpensive detectors.
