Congrats on your six pence Peter, bet that was a surprise.

Several other neat finds from the others, that's what makes the hobby interesting we never know what's going to surface.

Great finds!

Paul

The attached photos can't compare to you guys' gold, coins, copper, etc., but they were used by the "old timers" to squeeze out a few more grams of gold from crevices in the bedrock.  The second photo is a gold sorting tray found on a tailing pile.  Similar tray can be seen in Charles Christian Nahl's painting "Saturday Night in the Mines."

Found these Chinese ear rings and silver snuff spoon at an 1850'-1870's mining camp.  Came out of the hole with a couple big scrapes of the pick.  Don't know how I didn't hose them up LOL.

I found a claim jumpers GPX 4000 battery headphones harness and jacket this year on one of my claims.

It was stuffed in a crack in some rocks with the jacket on the top. The jacket was faded enough to make me believe it had been there for two or three years.

The battery worked after i gave it a charge and is still working for the guy I gave it to.
