Signal Enhancers (Amp) for Minelab GP series

I am looking for a amp for my 3000. I can find Doc's gold screamer and a B&Z Booster. Are
these my only two options? Thanks for an input.

 As far as I'm concerned Doc's gold screamer is the only option. Very durable with clear audio. Do you use good quality head phones?

If you get a detector powered amp make sure its a 4 pin.

Doc's is a great choice for a total system, light weight battery and amp.

He also sells a stand alone 9 volt battery  powered amp, The Treasure Screamer. 

The B&Z is my choice it's a stand alone with, IMHO better controls and plug layout.

Vkteksolutions has a a few choices for stand alone and detector powered for the SD's and GP's 4 pin layout.

They also make the best aftermarket patch leads!

A low cost alternative is the Radio Shack Mini Amped powered speaker.

I had the B&Z Booster. It's really meant to be used with an external speaker because you'll pick up some feedback from it if you're using headphones.

Was a nice little device tho.

I think Coiltec still has a mini-amp...which I used on my 2200 and gp extreme.

I liked Doc's amp ; I did not have to remember to turn it off ...used on 3500 and 5000

 

I really like the JP's BZ Booster with dual speakers or with sony earbuds or regular headphones...but I do have to remember to turn it off. Used on the 3500, 5000 and now the GPZ

I also use the B&Z booster. It does work better with external speakers.

For the GP I would choose the Gold Screamer Gold Amplifier.  I like this amp because it runs off of your GP Minelab lead acid battery, so no extra batteries to carry around.

Get a B&Z because it will work with just about any detector, which means if you ever upgrade to a new detector the booster can come along too. DOC stocks them for me in the US.
