ZED I have it narrowed down that GPZ 7000 = ZED I tried googling it and get directed to forums and people with forum post stating they love their "ZED" Went to Minelab.com and the closet I could find was ZVT (Zero Voltage Transmission) So I give up, decided to ask here. Is ZED just a nickname for the GPZ 7000 or does it actually stand for something ? Anyhow have been reading all the post and keep running into ZED so curiosity got me and trying to figure out ZED.

First there was the GPX, then came the GPZ, and ZVT. People focused on the "Z"

In the U.S. When we see a Z we say "zee". In the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, when they see a Z they say "zed"

Canada it can go either way.

I clearly remember when some Aussie first started referring to the GPZ as the Zed I just do not remember exactly who it was or when. Who deserves their moment of fame? Google experts, I send you forth on a mission to find the earliest reference of the GPZ as Zed!

Ā

Paul,i am pretty certain that Monte uses the letters ''OOR' meaning 'out of round' one example is the small Makro Racer small coil its something like say 5''x4.5'' so its not totally round nor is it i guess elliptical as such, its slightly 'out of round' :D
