Yes Jim, it’s all pretty much the same as when you were here. I fell a few of the 2nd growth redwoods by the cabin and limbed up some by the house to let a little more light into the yards. Come on back.

klunker, yes it’s Douglas Fir alright. It’s a shame we can’t cut it into lumber. Many hundreds of Doug Firs, Ponderosa and Sugar Pines, Tanoak and Madrone that were burned along the highway right-of-way in the Slater fire are being cut into firewood. 

I’m not familiar with the Sheehan tree. It grows in California?

 Sheecan wood is wood hat I bring home that "shee can split".

The dead desert wood that I collect is what I call “caveman” wood. I can break it up over the sharp upturned edge of a large stone in my back yard.

I burn my old shed for 2 days in my barbecue😱(i chopped it into pieces with a jigsaw)👍 while gardening kept me warm in Central London it was 2c ,so far no neighbours complaints,we are a quiet family anyway ,garden looks bigger now.
