Steve it sure looks like a little bit of both copper and gold to me.

I agree with Steve about getting an assay to find what is really in it.

One of the pictures makes the gold flakes look like Pyrite.

Maybe this will help. This is a piece of California high grade gold quartz ore. Note the color of the gold, how rich it is. Notice the tendency of the gold to form rounded lumps instead of sharp crystals. The specimen is about half the size of a clenched fist. Click for larger version.

Looks like gneiss to me, with just pyrite in it. One thing about being gneiss though, is everyone takes you for granite!  😹

But really, OP should ask someone who can physically look at it with a loupe just to be sure, photos make it really hard to identify, especially small mineral specks.
