Awesome Civil War And Colonial Relics Dug

The last few weekends have been very productive as I have been fortunate enough to get on a few good sites that have produced some amazing Colonial and Civil War relics. Check out the pics below. Hope everyone is having a great week and is ready for a good weekend of getting out !

Great finds, nice job cleaning up the buttons what did you use?

Soap and water. Soil is mild here as it is sandy so sometimes these relics come out in really good shape. The eagle button is probably the nicest I have ever found. The colonial two piece was immaculate coming out of the ground as well. Its one of the perks of living near the coast in SC 😊

Ya I recognized the finds, welcome to the forum.

Any copper alloys here get destroyed, mildest ground we have is the pine forests that leave a nice patina.

You guys found a nice spot . Was it just logged ? Something big went through , tornado ?

Spot had been logged and planted with pine trees, very deep furrows for sure. Again thanks for the reply and checking out my finds ! 👍😊
