I have a troy X5 metal detector what is it worth if I sold it, Its in really good condition and still works fine would be very grateful for your views many thanks

Twenty year old 19 kHz model, I’d think a couple hundred bucks would be tops, but some people seem willing to pay a pretty penny for old detectors. The X5 had a fan club at one time. So you might get more if you can find the right buyer - that’s always the challenge.

See if this link of recent prices realized on Ebay works.  (It used to be that advanced searches could only be done if you had a username&password.)  Keep in mind that buyer pays shipping (unless stated otherwise) and seller pays fees to the site (i.e. Ebay).  Only one X-5 and that sold via a private negotiated 'make offer' transaction -- those never show the settlement price.  The X-2 model seem to be getting $250-$300 (before shipping costs).

Ok thanks for the advice wasn't really sure what it was worth now as its a bit out of date but still a good detector so will probably keep it
