Why Won't My Detector Find A Bottle Full Of Small Nuggets? Or A Gold Chain?

If it’s fresh water you could also use any 40 kHz plus gold nugget model, my choice being Gold Bug 2 with 4”x6” coil. The Nox is a serious contender. Any small gold nugget capable machine will do the trick in fresh water... if the chain is detectable at all. Some are not, no matter the detector used, for the reason discussed. Salt water presents a unique problem.
