Nice story Condor but no pictures?.....I am just kidding.  Bummer on all the breakdowns, hopefully the gold gods will give you a nice chunk for all your efforts on this trip next time out.

Condor,

You tried your hardest to convince me for a turn around trip!  Weather Radar kept me from joining you and a couple nice Jackpots at the casino kept the Crown Royal coming 😂.  You’ll recoup just like that big Puppy and your truck will...plenty of spots out there!  I’ll show you a couple more next time out...but, I’m thinking that new 6000 will be the ticket to clean them patches up?  Glad to hear the 6000 performed under them wet conditions and I know exactly what No Yellow Under a Coil, sounds like and always looks like a Skunk...hate them days!  Keep them Ivan Coils working until the 6000 arrives!

  • The title was changed to Minelab GPX 6000 Misadventures At Sawtooth Nv

Ouch ... a lot of work for a little fun.  Lucky knows where to go when the weather and weather reports are bad!

There are patches out there.  Either detector will find the bigger stuff if you get over that gold.

It was a crazy snowy cold week for sure, and equipment failures sure do not help. In other words, just a normal prospecting trip! It does seem like there are times when nothing goes well, and sorry you are the one that got hit this time Steve.

Sympathies Condor. We held on through the cold and wet and have been out in Rye Patch a couple half days hitting patches where we have had luck in the past. Still wet and noisy on the Zed but tiny trash and lead showing up fairly shallow. It is drying pretty well. Would have left, but being 850 mi from home says stick it out bit longer. Been trolling for new ground too.

Condor,

😂 Nothing’s like a Dried out lip(s) from the High Plains.  Them dinks had you licking your chops hoping they’d lead you to a patch. Thick coat of Vaseline to collect the dust you kick up with your RZR will help out...90 degree weather this weekend...that will dry that desert out fast!
