Ground Balance

Question regarding ground balance please,

Reading the DEUS manual, it appears to ground balance in two different ways depending on what mode you are in,

  1. Goldfield (or all metal) says it is an exact ground balance point that matches the ground phase.
  2. In the discrimination modes it says that all the ground numbers are rejected below the setting.

It almost sounds like the ground balance in the motion modes are like the discrimination setting but for the ground region of the scale.

Am I right thinking this? and how many different methods are there to achieving ground balance? Thanks.

Dan  .... there are significant differences between the ground balance of Coin and Gold programs.

I found big differences between the Coin / Gold programs after the first half hour when I had XP ORX on my low mineralized test field .. the differences in the work of the classic equipment were significantly different ..

Differences in Ground balance will be manifested mainly on the ground with a lower value of the ground phase such as 87 .....

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.The "Coin program" is the most stable on the GB factory settings ...

If you finish the GB exactly in the "Coin program" in the field / and the GB of the terrain will have, for example, the value 76 / this program may be less stable ... and to achieve stability you need to manually adjust the GB by + 3, + 4 GB numbers more up- / on GB 79-80 / ..they achieve stable detection ..

The point is that the detector is stable when detected ... ,, but at the same time it was deeper than the GB factory setting.
Use the Reactivity setting for the type of terrain mineralization, or to improve the separation properties of the detector..

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. The "Gold program" on the GB 87 .. factory setting will be unstable on the Terrain with a strongly different value of GB ../ terrain ,, .. so if you balance it correctly / in mild terrain for example to the value GB 77 / the gold program will be very stable ,, / super stable / .. but it may not be the deepest alternative setting ... on mild terrain .. and in this case you can move the correct GB77 balance manually increased by 2-3 max.. points GB increased .. and achieve deeper detection ..

The important thing is With the Gold program you also regulate the stability of detection in various mineralized ones by means of the Reactivity setting / which also works as SAT / .. it is divisible on slightly or more mineralized terrain ..uz when the detector reaches the field ..

Another important thing about the Gold program is the use of the IAR disc ... the special value for coins is the IAR value to 4..

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Coin programs and Gold programs work from the terrain phase just quite differently.

You can trace it very well with XP ORX because of 2 Coin programs and two Gold programs and it's nice to see it as Ground balance .. and also manual GB correction .. in milder terrain it will get results on the stability of detection or on the deep range between individual Coin / Gold programs ..

Three ways to ground balance deus.

Manual

Pumping

Tracking

Depending on where and how you are using Deus.  One or more methods may be better choice.  Time is also a consideration, especially using tracking GB.  Plus depending on setting of ground sensitivity setting and the mineralization level of the ground Deus may not track to ground when sweeping ever.  Or can be sporadic.  Keep in mind this above all of it applies to later versions software.  I believe versions 4.0 and later.

Cheers.
