Hi folks, my name is Mario. I was encouraged by a member of a different MD site to also join this forum and announce that, as of June 2021, I have in my possession every remaining Tesoro part/accessory that was in the building. I will post in the classified when I become eligible to do so.

I don't even own a metal detector, but I'm going to build one (or more) for myself.

Thank you.

Welcome Mario.

There is a classified section where you can post parts for sale and there is a Tesoro section I had posted your original link from Treasurenet.

Still looking for those 3 turn gb pots for my Tejon but also need a full set as my threshold part is worn out too. I'll pop it apart and post the specs this week.

So when you getting the detecting bug? 🙂

Welcome aboard and thanks for bringing this resource here !

I'm sure many members will be very happy to see ya !

It wouldn't be a bit surprising if you get a detector in your hands with all the parts you now have.

As the disease takes hold of you , feel free to ask  about anything you need explaining for ....we'll get you up and running.

AND,,,, Maybe someone would trade you a working detector for some parts ????

Welcome to the forum Mario,

Good going "saving" those parts! You will have to tell us the story behind that purchase, and how much inventory you've got! That's your initiation task; and to also give us a forum discount!!🤣

Just kidding! Glad you found your way here, and good luck with the parts sales!!👍👍

Thank you all for the very warm welcome.

Yes, there will be a significant discount available to forum members.

Let it be known to all that I much prefer to keep this inventory available from within the U.S.A.

How much stuff do I have? Let's just say that I can no longer park my car in the garage.

Anyhow, I will be more than happy to soon share the very strange story about how I wound up with all this stuff.

Fact: the new owners of the Tesoro building, which is now an Orthopedic manufacturing facility, was going to send this stuff to the dump. I'm not kidding. It took me one evening that involved a Google search to realize what I needed to do.

I've been in contact with a local individual who was the Service Mgr at Tesoro for almost 3 decades Very interesting.

A little about my background: among other endeavors, I have over 30yrs professional experience working on guitars/amps. What we're concerned with here is the electronics. I service/repair and restore/build tube guitar amps and home audio. A lot of that is circuit board builds, so I possess all the equipment to do such. Also analog SS based, but no computer driven amplifiers.

Moderator: I hope I'm not violating forum rules/protocol by listing my personal contact info within a post. It would just be such an easier way to communicate.

More to come.

Welcome Mario, I think you will make a lot of Tesoro fans happy that you saved the parts. I'm intrigued by the detector, some have great successes with it. Could be some kinda juju... 😀

Great story, looking forward to more. I worked on guitars and amps when I was younger, I was a huge Fender fan. Not so much electronics but restoration/mods. Found some pretty old stuff in my time.

You can delete emojis by selecting at least one word, dragging the selector over the emojis, and hit 'cut'. Backspace doesn't work.

I just wanted to give a quick thank you to all of you who've welcomed me back this time after my departure a few years back.... it's been great to be back and I'm so happy to see how warm and accepting you've all been, granted half the members may have me on "user ignore" so don't even know I'm back.. LOL.. but thank you again and Steve, thank you for keeping such a tight ship and for welcoming me back so graciously and defending me from those who weren't keen. PS: I'm doing my best to stay non political and on topic, my dog's had to thwap me in the back of the head a couple times but I'm learning.... LOL
You're all a great family, dysfunctional family at times yes (it's why I luv you all), but family it is. 🙂

      Hi Everyone,
I have been reading posts on these forums for quite awhile without posting, while looking for info on gold prospecting and metal detecting in general. This website has been a great resource even for a experienced prospector and detectorist like myself. I am looking forward future exchanges with all of the very interesting folks that contribute here.
      Best,
      Michael

      Hi everyone,
Avid reader from France of this forum, which I consider to be the "best" in the world. I am happy to be part of this community.
Passionate since childhood by detection, I mainly detect in fields and woods family (I am the son of farmer) I had the chance to try and have a lot of detectors.
My favorite is the Sovereign which I find unbeatable in discrimination between aluminum and gold.
Sorry if my English is approximate .
      Thanks.

      Hi There everyone.
May have been a member many years ago but fade in and out of metal detecting but recently back at it.
Looks like this site is chock full of informative folks and sure I'll have some questions.
Have one question right off the bat regarding whether or not there's a printing tool for being able to print a particular thread I'm very interested in.
If so I'm not seeing it.
Or a way to save a particular thread?
      Thanks!!

I've been prospecting with my shovel and high banker for many years, though I grew tired of hauling all that heavy gear around.  Always wanted a metal detector and now I have one.  Gerry has helped to outfit me with one of those GPZ 7000 rigs.
I now live in Bozeman Montana, surrounded by some amazing geology, history and beautiful mountains.
My objective is to get out and into the mountains, away from the crowds.  Currently researching the local mountains as I have found lots of quartz just off to the side of the trails, now I can go back and see of there is anything hidden within the dirt.
I look forward to the adventures!

Hi guys. New to this site but not new to chasing gold. Mostly detect for it these days. Name is Greg & I am in New Zealand. We have in the last couple of days gone into lockdown due to our first covid case in the community since february of this year. Has apparently come from across the ditch from the New South Wales outbreak in Australia. BUGGER. So locked down at home & cant go out for a detect. Beautiful day too.
Look forward to "meeting" & hanging out with you all & see what you guys are finding & what gear you are using & what your thoughts are:) on it. Take care stay safe.
      Greg 🙂
