ID Help Please / Mohs 7.5-8 / Dark Green / Not Transparent / Emerald /spinel Or Something Else ?

I found it in Alberta 

Mohs  7 can't scratch it but 8 does  , not transparent , looks dark green to me

The fossil or (rock not sure what the wrap around it is   but it is too hard )   Mohs  8 

Im trying  to remove it from the wrap  with my Dremel rotary tool but it looks like it will take forever , no rush do not want to brake it

I will add more day time taking pictured tomorrow

From some quick research, Alberta does have Jade. Jade is mohs 7. Your photos are terrible.

The whole thing is  2.1 grams

I re-tested it  this time very carefully  under 10x loupe  with  Mohs' Test Kit ,but it cannot be scratched even with 9

Do not have sapphire here , not sure 9 can scratch it  ?

Scratching with Mohs 9 just leaving trace on the rock from the tool but the green one has no scratches on it 

Which makes me  think two options left , Diamond or Sapphire

Most likely Sapphire 🙂
