My First Barber

Found my first Barber yesterday!  And a Model T key, too!  An old, long abandoned ranch site in the middle of nowhere.  No standing buildings or anything, just rubble and outlines.  Found both very close to what I think was the house.  Both less than an inch deep, on the hard rocky desert.

 

Darn shame that winter snow is probably going to hit soon and lock me out of going back until next year!

Great condition of the key, and the dime is also nice looking.

Those are the areas that I like to detect, and I try to find where the outhouses used to be. Most of them were about 50 feet from the house, and I have found nice coins leading to and from them. I also check where clothes lines may have been as they were closer to the house, but they produce some nice coins also.

The 800 is great for those areas at about sensitivity set at 20 and on park 1 or 2.
