whats your prefered mode of GB ??ts a bit of a dark art  .....tracking pumping or manual?

 

i usually go with t racking or pumping or sometimes leave it on auto depending on the soil type

 

dont know about d2s gb yet

pumping works best for me,

D2 auto and tracking only I believe. No manual GB. At least I think so.

Correct.  D2 is auto ground grab or tracking only for the FMF modes.  You can set ground sensitivity also which determines the acceptance band around the ground point to filter out ground noise further due to mineralization and other "ground level" pollutants such as ceramics that can cause noise.  The D2 mono frequency mode allows for manual GB setting.  Beach/Dive salt Modes have further salt sensitivity and black sand ,"magnetic ground" settings.

i do  have trouble with pumpimg on some fields as it fails quite often for no reason
