Few years ago I was bought the same design Mars shaft… weight about 500 grams…

I wanted a longer shaft for the dry, damp and wet sand at the beach for coverage per arc. In the water I run a shorter shaft for better coil control so the stock shaft works well there. I also plan on a somewhat smaller coil that will help with this issue. I am totally happy with both shafts. Each have their purpose.

At this time, I have not weighed either shaft . I will though and report.
