I feel like that too when good finds are scarce, which can be often lately, but everything you find tells you something and nothing beats getting out with the detector.

Maybe we can get SteveH to make a "Show Us Your Trash" forum, I could fill that up quick! 🤣

Yes, if you take the attitude that every time you detect you make sure to learn something, it will never be a waste.  I've been out twice this week with a new (used) coil and I'm learning, even though I'm not finding anything exciting.

The places I detect are all relatively young. A beaver-tale pop top counts as a relic around here!
