Rick N. MI
I have both of them and so far I find them very close to equal. Right now I give the edge to the Legend because of how smooth it is running and most likely better waterproofing. I like how the controller comes off for the way I use it. I'm looking forward to the next update and see how it does. It is a great, powerful detector for the price.
dsb
Are the legend controls easy to navigate? I'm thinking of trading my out of warranty EQ 800 in for a new one but the Legend pro pack is interesting for sure.
Rick N. MI
The controls are easy to learn. Select a mode, a disc pattern, sensitivity and you can start detecting. The other main settings are Number of tones you want and Recovery speed. I use 2 tone, set tone break and "A" disc pattern. Do the auto noise cancel and ground balance and your off detecting. The other settings you can learn as you go. More will be added in the next update. Pitch tone, Iron bias, a third smf setting and something else new is coming in the update. I don't know what it is. I'm looking forward to it.
