Button Or?

This one has me stumped. At first it appears like just a brass dome that covered the hub of a small wheel that got crushed. However, the rim around the underside still contains enough iron to be attracted to a strong magnet. Additionally, and maybe coincidentally, there looks to be a man's head looking to the left. Anyone have a guess as to if it could be a button or just a piece of trash? I found this on a local baseball field in FL that has given up some coins from over 100 years ago.

Maybe it's an upholstery button from furniture or a buggy seat.
