Nice looking detector! Hats off to Garrett. Sounds like it will be a decent performer in multiple situations.

I have to run to post office, will have some comments soon. I want to be clear though. I’m not wanting to be a salesperson, and I’m not wanting to get drug into the this versus that B.S. either. It’s an extremely competitive detector, well worth consideration, but I’ll recuse myself as biased when it comes to some of this. I’ve been after Garrett for ages to do this, they finally got a new CEO who listened intently, and in large part, delivered almost everything I’ve been asking for. Hats off to the entire Garrett team, but especially Steve Novakovich, for making this long held dream of mine a reality. Thank you!!

It looks incredible and from what I've just heard from someone I just spoke with, runs super quiet, and that's what pushed me away from my 6k. The money from selling it is still here waiting for just this day, toss in that awesome accessory package, coil selection and wow.... this is a great day for prospecting fans... Well Done Garrett!!!! Ya blew this one out of the water so far..... and the looks, whew, drop dead gorgeous... and pinpionter and detector on same audio channel.... (picking jaw up off floor).

I think this machine will be quite popular.  The light weight and user friendliness alone will appeal to many.  I bet there will be some serious nugget sensing ability as well.  :biggrin:

I will take a wild guess and do some math.

@Steve Herschbach's (challenge in this thread * inflation) + chip shortages + fuel prices - Minelab tax = $2499.

I heard a bit higher, won't say range that's up to Steve and others who KNOW facts to release, I won't be doing it but the price range I was told was AWESOME and even if it was as high as the 6 (which I was told it was not) it's a STEAL if it's a light as and has no EMI/speaker issues..... and software upgradeable.... GREAT value from what I have seen/heard.

So question to those in the know... I've been drinking the Minelab Kool-Aid for so long I've lost touch with other brands..... is this Whites technology per say or legacy Garrett or a combo of both (like the cool choice of audio).

Also, @Steve Herschbach or @Gerry in Idaho do either of you know how it does on burnt carbon for noise, like we'd find in Northern Cali with the fires each year?

I have several areas on my property that have burnt carbon (old timer camp fires I suspect based on the solder plug hole bottom cans etc) and if this didn't groan that would be awesome.
